Last winter marked the artist’s first winter after moving to Germany. At the time, the artist felt trapped in its cold, solemn atmosphere. The sun set early, and the shops closed soon after. Winter seemed like a space where nothing ever happened. Yet, the bare branches against the darkness offered a sense of comfort. Peaceful and composed, they seemed to envelop the artist in a quiet embrace.
